  • very attractive member of the genus, with a very unusual monopodial (stemlike) growth habit, each leafy bulb continuously elongates and lasts for many years before new growths develop basally, arching spikes emerge from between the 18` narrow leaves, each spike producing up to 12 closely spaced 3` blossoms whose pure white narrow sepals and petals lean forward surrounding an elongated white ruffled lip with a central yellow-orange patch and callus, and has the lovely scent of almonds.
