  • a deciduous species that has small wrinkly ½` pseudobulbs with light green, thick, ovate foliage; this plant has multiple spikes that arch upwards from beneath the pseudobulbs to 7`, spikes bear pendant heads of 3 - 10 oddly-shaped blooms that have 2` fused lateral sepals that form a rounded paddle shape and gracefully twist to attract pollinators from every angle; blooms are an orangish or bronze color with a slightly greener tint to the back of the flower, tiny hood encases the small rocking lip that is usually a darker color
