truly majestic plants known as the `Nun`s Orchid` for reasons we can`t quite fathom, a robust plant with conical 2` bulbs topped with several broad 2 ft. to 3 ft. plicate leaves, thick erect spikes up to 4 ft. long carry 10 to 20 large and attractive 4` flowers, spreading sepals and petals are creamy outside and reddish brown inside, protruding tubular lip has a flaring pink to red wine margin with a yellow throat, fragrant spring bloomer.
