the Sumatran form of this widespread species, fleshy branching reddish rhizomes/stems bear a rosette of 1-1/2` long by 1/2` wide leaves which taper to a sharp point, the beautiful deep velvety green foliage is almost black with intense metallic silver venation, the leaves are a real treat, 5` spike emerges from the center bearing a dozen small creamy brown 1/8` blooms
