one of the `tulip orchids`, clumping 4` bulbs are topped with wide, dark green, semi-deciduous leaves that grow to 15`; the beautiful, long-lasting blooms resemble tulips but are delightfully fragrant and range in color from bronze-orange to a dark blood red; the large blooms appear singly on 8 to 10 inch spikes that are clustered around the base of the pseudobulbs.
