reminiscent of bamboo in its growth habit with long narrow stems up to 4 ft. in shaded conditions, 4` plicate leaves line the stems evenly, blooms apically during the summer with numerous short-lived flowers opening in succession for many weeks, spectacular large Cattleya-like 6` to 9` lavender blooms with a lavender lip and a yellow-white center.
