very pretty and floriferous, compact clumping plant 1-1/2" narrow bulbs topped with a single lanceolate 8" leaf; short inflorescences produce an attractive 1" lovely brilliant yellow flower with spreading lateral sepals, while dorsal sepal and petals form a hood over the column and bright orange lip
