a very attractive and nearly ever-blooming Encyclia, flattened conical 4` to 6` bulbs bear 2 or 3 wide lush dark green 12` leaves, spikes arise from the tip of the bulbs and open in succession over many months with an average of 3 to 5 blooms at any time, flowers resemble a swimming 2` to 4` octopus, sepals and petals are creamy green and twisted, lip is upright with a near black exterior and green and purple striped interior, easy grower and rewarding
