Got my plants today.
I'm always disappointed when I open other orchid sellers boxes...tiny, poorly grown, sick plants.
I order plants from you, they come as fantastic, large, healthy plants.
My Pleurothallis gratiosa that you sent was absolutely fantastic.
For a $20 bill, I got what I think of as a specimen plant.
Thank you!
And the blooming Dendrobium / x delicatum that immediately filled my greenhouse with fragrance...
And I love the ferns, live moss, and begonia? growing out of the baskets/mounts.
Makes me seriously question why I ever buy from anyone else!
Anyway...
thank you.
If your interested in unique orchid (other plant collections)- then this is a nursery.to visit. They request appointment beforehand, primarily because one can get lost in the maze of aisle walkways in the midst of hanging and benched plants. Mr. Andy and the rest of staff are great, polite and very welcoming. If you seeking insight of plant culturing, as well as unique acquisitions... this is a place to schedule a visit.
Quality, Selection, Environment, Customer Service I always enjoy going there, it's the definition of paradise. It's my happy place. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful. I just want to buy everything there.
Dear Miryam - My order was delivered and just had a good soak. Lovely plant with a nice new growth. I have a new greenhouse space with plenty of light which should suit it well. I've come to depend on you and Andy's for excellent quality, unusual species and reliable fast shipping with topnotch customer care. Thanks very much and God bless! p.s. All the Brazilian miltonias I got from you last year are doing great - I'm looking forward to flowers this fall.
THANK YOU for such a great group of orchids in my order which I received yesterday. Beautifully packed - everyone was safe and sound. The plants are in great shape. I have just given them their first misting. Thank you again - I already have a second list for my next purchase. Interested especially in Borneo orchids as I was born there and grew up there. Thank you again!
This is exactly what I was hoping to see -- nursery industry working together with orchid conservation efforts! In fact, I wonder if the time has arrived when commercial growers can certify that they obtain their stock exclusively from CITES-compliant growers. I'm not sure exactly how that would work -- maybe an organization like OCA maintaining a list? And some recognizable logo, that will eventually encourage everybody to get on board? Orchids have special adaptations that cause humans to pick them up and carry them home, as you know very well. But those adaptations also put them at severe risk of extinction in their native habitats.
