a close relative of Bulbophyllum, this plant has wrinkled Hershey`s kisses shaped pseudobulbs that are widely placed on a creeping rhizome with dark green 2" long leaves; the 1" flower is a vivid and rich maroon color with a white column cap; blooms can appear twice a year from the base of the bulbs.
