know as the "Tiger Orchid" due to its beautiful tiger-striped flowers, a gorgeous plant with 3" bulbs topped by a pair of wide bluish green 8" leaves, 12" basal spikes emerge in autumn bearing up to 8 very large glossy undulated blooms ranging from 5" to 9" across, long slender sepals are yellow heavily barred with chestnut brown, rounded tip is yellow, the longer wider petals are red brown at the base with yellow lateral halves, large lip is cream spotted with red brown and has a yellow orange doll-like callus, fantastic!!!
Growing Tip: Prefers a slightly dry winter rest.
