commonly sold as Asc.miniatum which is from Java these two species are often confused (miniatum has thinner leaves and more reddish flowers); Asc.garayi is a very compact miniature Vanda with very thick, succulent light green spotted purple leaves that reach 4" in length, 3/4" round flowers appear in dense heads on 4" - 6" long spikes and are a neon orange-yellow.
